Samoens - French Alps..
Samoens is a beautiful, listed Alpine town, just one hour from Geneva airport.
In winter it is linked directly to the huge Grand Massif ski area, which also includes the towns of Sixt, Morillon, Les Carroz and the modern resort of Flaine.
In summer, Samoens is a vibrant and stunning Alpine town - a hot spot for summer mountain activities with plenty of bars and restaurants open late into the small hours. Unlike the bigger ski resorts of the Alps however, still retains the feel of rural France.
Ski lifts and mountain refuges run throughout Samoens and the Grand Massif from June to September meaning the scope for hiking and biking is endless. There's plenty of other activities on offer as well including paragliding, rafting, climbing and horseriding. See our activities page here
